The aim was to develop a low-cost hole punch/binding machine for use at home or home office environment. Office binding machines are large, expensive machines, too expensive for the domestic market. The product was designed around a simple sheet metal punch chassis assembly. The product is capable of punching 5 sheets of paper at once and it enables plastic comb binders to be fitted. The product was engineered and fully defined for manufacture. (Developed for Rexel (Part of Acco brands) whilst employed at Pearson Matthews).
