Veterinary airway management support system

D-grip® tube holder, designed for Docsinnovent, is an adaptable airway management support system for supporting the load borne by anaesthetic breathing circuits, airway devices, face masks, monitoring cables and sampling lines. It is used in conjunction with the v-gel® supraglottic airway device and offers infinite positioning options to optimise airway management. It allows for quick and easy clamping and retainment of the tubes, without the vet needing to support the tubes with random objects.

We designed tapered rubber “W” shaped grips to accommodate the various diameters of anaesthetic circuit tubing and the flexible multi-joint tri-pod legs ensure height and angle adjustment is achievable. The plate can easily be sterilised. We worked with the manufacturer to produce the injection moulded grips and plate fabrication. We also developed the vacuum form packaging for the product, along with the user instructions.

    The main plate was designed to be machined from sheet Acrylic to avoid tooling costs, with TPE insert components to grip the tubes and devices being used.

    We developed the vacuum formed sterile packaging for the veterinary product. The pack was assembled in an outer box along with user instructions.
