The challenge for us was to develop new packaging for the Nurofen brand that reflected and reinforced the premium brand that Nurofen is. Traditionally, cardboard boxed packaging was used and although with modern printing techniques, the brand could be achieved, users found that when carried around daily, particularly in handbags, it soon became tatty and the internal blister pack could become damaged.
The new package provided a protective case for the blister pack and enabled consumers to have Nurofen with them at all times, fitting in with their busy lives. Metallic Polypropylene was used to deliver the colours required, with a simple adhesive graphic. (Developed the Nurofen packaging whilst employed at Pearson Matthews).
